Just a small local firm Worthing stationers Red-Inc are now down to the final three in the Uk national stationery awards hosted by the BOSS Federation.
We have had a great year at Red-Inc. Our local presence increasing and our aim to be the Worthing Stationers of choice becoming more than just a dream.
I can honestly say that everything we set out to achieve in 2015 has happened or is in the pipeline to happen in the next month or so.
So how can a small Worthing stationers take on national competition in the Uk awards? What makes us good enough to take out thousands of our competitors nationally to get to the final three? In truth we don’t really know at this stage but I guess we hit a nerve in our presentation to the BOSS Federation panel in August.
Perhaps it was our business cards and brochure that are made of 100% recycled paper and board. But I doubt that alone that would have cut it in this very competitive market sector. I think there are a lot of reasons why, perhaps check out our offering and see for yourself.
The stationery market has changed dramatically in the past 5 years and the on-line market space has grown. On the other hand the industry has shrunk considerably. Embracing the online world but offering old fashioned service and values has worked for us. Perhaps that’s what the judges saw in us.
Personally I hope that our sustainable and lean business model captured their imagination. Perhaps as much as any new sales and growth did.
Who knows if we might be good enough to win. We are new to this and have been working off the radar to make sure our offering is A1 from start to finish, so its early days for us. We can however draw nothing but a positive from getting down to the last three.
The awards evening is on the 15th October 2015 and we will be sure to follow up, even if we don’t win !
