On Thursday, 20 March, our founder Adam Huttly joined a special B Corp Month Lunch & Learn event hosted by Bates Wells in London – a firm we’re proud to support as their legal office supplies partner. The event brought together fellow B Corps to share honest stories, challenges, and progress on the journey to using business as a force for good.
Bates Wells, who hold a remarkable B Corp score of 140 and were recently named B Corp of the Year at the edie Sustainability Awards, set the tone for a truly inspiring afternoon.
Speakers and Stories
Adam spoke alongside Graham Moore from Katchr and Kate Jeffries from Grind. Both speakers offered their own take on what it means to be part of the B Corp community and how they embed purpose and sustainability into their everyday operations.
Event Highlights
Held over lunchtime, the session welcomed both in-person and remote attendees. Each speaker shared a short presentation covering:
- What their business does and why it exists
- Practical examples of their social and environmental impact
- Why becoming a B Corp matters to them
Adam walked through Red-Inc’s sustainability journey—from championing responsible procurement to launching our Plant One, Protect One scheme. He spoke about the need for transparency in supply chains and the importance of supporting clients in making greener choices.
A Shared Commitment to Purpose
As the chosen supplier of eco-friendly legal supplies to Bates Wells, we understand the specific needs of the legal sector. We work hard to ensure our products and practices align with their ethical and environmental standards. Our relationship is built on shared values: purposeful procurement, carbon-conscious choices, and a commitment to continual improvement.
Additionally, the event also featured an introduction from Adam at B Lab, who outlined the direction of the new B Lab strategy and what’s ahead for the movement.
Why These Conversations Matter
Lunch & Learn sessions like this one are a chance to go beyond the surface and really connect around values. For Red-Inc, it was a reminder that impact doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes open dialogue, collaboration, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
We’re proud to supply sustainable legal office supplies to forward-thinking firms like Bates Wells – and even prouder to stand beside them in rethinking what responsible business looks like.
